i am officially the mom of a four year old! where did the time go? we celebrated jack's birthday with family and by attending many of the osu homecoming festivities. my cowboys even won their football game--go pokes!!
we topped off the celebration with the time-honored tradition of bowling! can i just say i may have a bowling prodigy on my hands? i beat jack, but only by 1 point (and no, i wasn't using the bumpers). he subscribes to the shot-put method of bowling--he just runs and then launches that 6 pounder from about shoulder height. it makes the most fantastic noise!
i also had laryngitis for about 24 hours of all these fun events. i'm a pretty fair charades player, so i mimed my way through part of the weekend. mike said, "i never knew how much you talked. i wish you'd hurry up and get your voice back so i can stop being the social butterfly!"
i'm not really sure how to take that.
p.s. to those who've commented on my possible project of trying out for the dallas cowboy cheerleaders, thanks for the reminders that last time i attempted gymnastics, i managed to hit my head on a gym floor and knock myself out. thank goodness there was no you tube yet!!!
