going postal

checking the mail every day is a highlight for me. who knows what treasures will be delivered to my door! yesterday, mixed in with the bills, coupons, and my neighbor's church newsletter was (chorus of angels and spotlight please)--a letter from Gladney, our agency.

we ripped it open, wondering what great news they would have for us, only to find that our caseworker's administrative assistant has changed, and we should now direct all questions to our new lady, betty.

now, i'm as excited as the next gal to meet betty, work with her, and get to know her. in fact, i daresay betty will know our family quite well when this whole thing is over (i can hear her describing us now: "oh, they were the crazy parents. you know, the ones we had to take the restraining order out on!").

however, i think the law should require the agency to put some sort of warning label on the outside of the envelope: NO BABY NEWS CONTAINED INSIDE! I REPEAT, THERE'S NO NEW INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE CHILD YOU'RE WAITING BREATHLESSLY FOR!

maybe that's a little long, but you get the idea. guess i better go check the mail (hey, i'm still ever the optimist!)
