the birth mom that raquel (our famed caseworker) called us about last week has had our profile for 5 days. 5 whole 24 hour periods. that's like, 72 years in adoptive parent time. if this is or isn't our baby, i need to know. now. yesterday. hours and hours and hours ago.
patience, i know. i understand this is a beyond huge decision for her, so i'm trying to remember that and convince myself to be patient. i can't even imagine what she must be feeling, and i think about how difficult this must be for her every time i start to freak out.
patience--it's almost a dirty word at our house these days. i spit on patience (sorry, mom, i know that's not very lady-like!).
when will raquel call and let us know whether or not this is it? stay tuned....
